AERCalc calculates the values used by the AERC (Attachments Energy Rating Council): https://aercnet.org/

EPc: Energy Performance for cooling, based on EnergyPlus simulations for a cooling climate (Houston, TX)
EPh: Energy Performance for heating, based on EnergyPlus simulations for a heating climate (Minneapolis, MN)

AERCalc has the following features:

Import Windows with attachments from a WINDOW database
Specify the air leakage values for specific products such as window panels
Calculate the annual energy performance for heating and cooling based on EnergyPlus hourly simulations
Export the results

Expertise Required:

Good working knowledge of THERM and WINDOW software to generate input for AERCalc

Audience:

AERC simulators calculating ratings for attachment products

Input:

THERM files (for some shading systems such as cellular shades) and WINDOW database (glazing systems plus shading systems defined).
